Fishing enthusiasts in Altea

Our goal is to share our commitment to sports fishing while at the same time raising awareness of the need to do so in a sustainable way. Taking care of the sea and its resources.

Fishing in Altea: more than a hobby

With two months of life I had already sailed the waters of Altea Bay; it is certainly a magical place, and my passion for it has increased over time.

The passion for fishing was inherited from my family, from my grandfather, but especially from my father. With him I learned all kinds of modalities, both in fresh water and at sea, and I was inculcated by sustainable fishing. Besides, I've been lucky enough to travel to different places of Spain and the world to enjoy this passion. From Mexico, looking for a record sailing fish, to Iceland or Canada, where we fish for different species of salmonids.

It was fly fishing that just made me aware of this sport, so, always within the possibilities, I use equipment and light lines with which to enjoy and feel more the racing of the fish.
Respect for this environment makes sport fishing the only type of fishing that my sense of responsibility allows me to practice and promote. It's a type of fishing based on releasing the catch back into the sea, promoting sustainable development by preventing overfishing and respecting the reproductive cycle of the fish.

With Flying Fish Tours Altea I want to pay tribute to those who taught me, and share my passion for Altea, the sea, navigation and sports fishing. Our philosophy: the sea and fishing as a great hobby and with awareness of caring for the environment.
